How much does it cost to hire an instrument?

It costs nothing to hire an instrument if you are learning through Southampton Music Services, however there is a £16 loan agreement per year, which covers the cost of repairs. There is a hire charge applicable for pupils who do not learn through Southampton Music Services. Please click here for further information.

What happens if my instrument needs repairing?

Please speak to your instrumental teacher or contact us if your instrument needs repairing.

Do you have a list of accompanists?

No, please speak directly to your instrument teacher who will arrange an accompanist for you.

Where can I return a Southampton City Instrument?

Please return all instruments borrowed from us to 5^th Floor, Frobisher House or directly to your instrument teacher but please let us know by phone or email. Please avoid handing to your school reception.
